Withdrawal Policy

The Spectrum of Research and Reviews (SRR) recognizes the importance of maintaining a fair and transparent process for manuscript submission and publication. The following guidelines outline the policy regarding the withdrawal of manuscripts from the journal.

  1. Author-Initiated Withdrawal
Authors may withdraw their manuscript at any time before the peer review process begins by notifying the editorial team. Once the manuscript is submitted for review, the author must provide a valid reason for withdrawal. If the manuscript is in the process of revision (minor or major), authors must communicate their decision to withdraw immediately, providing a reason.

  2. Editor-Initiated Withdrawal
If the editorial team discovers any ethical violations during the review process (such as plagiarism, falsification of data, or other misconduct), the manuscript may be withdrawn from consideration, and the author will be informed. If authors fail to respond to revision requests or do not submit the required revisions within the given timeframe, the editorial team may decide to withdraw the manuscript from the review process. Additionally, if a conflict of interest or any form of misconduct is identified that affects the integrity of the publication process, the manuscript may be withdrawn.

  3. Conditions for Withdrawal
Once a manuscript is accepted for publication and is in the production phase (e.g., copyediting, typesetting), withdrawal requests will not be entertained unless there are exceptional circumstances such as legal concerns or significant ethical issues. Authors must notify the editorial team via email, providing a clear and valid reason for withdrawal. If the manuscript is withdrawn, the author may submit it to another journal, provided it is no longer under review elsewhere.

  4. Impact of Withdrawal
If a manuscript is withdrawn after review or during the publication process, the author’s request will be acknowledged in the editorial records. If a manuscript is withdrawn due to ethical violations or misconduct, a formal notice of the withdrawal will be recorded, and future submissions from the author may be subject to greater scrutiny.

  5. Special Circumstances for Withdrawal
In the event of extreme or unforeseen circumstances (e.g., illness or personal emergency), the author may request the withdrawal of the manuscript with a reasonable explanation. The editorial team will consider the request on a case-by-case basis.

  6. Communication and Documentation
All withdrawal requests must be made in writing, either through email or the manuscript submission system, and must include a brief explanation. The editorial team will provide confirmation of the manuscript withdrawal and will update the status in the journal’s system accordingly.
